A Stair Climber machine is a popular cardio machine that involves scaling a mini rotating staircase. This high intensity aerobic exercise not only improves your cardiovascular health, but also builds muscle in the lower body, works your stability and balance, and acts as functional training for the legs. A Stair Climber workout is as close as possible to true stair climbing, and as such develops very important muscles and modes of fitness that we use in our everyday life.
Stair Climber Benefits

The classic Stair Climber cardio machine works to improve your cardiovascular endurance, functional strength, weight loss and overall fitness. While it may not be the first thing you think of when deciding on a good home cardio machine, there are many advantages of a Stepper machine that are worth considering when making your decision. These machines offer a great high intensity workout, or a gentler form of aerobic exercise. This makes them perfect for High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout for all fitness levels in your home gym. Having access to the best Stair Climber workout in your own home is a great way to immediately level up your home fitness space. It provides an efficient, intense cardio exercise that goes above and beyond regular workout gear. Having a home stepper machine means you always have access to great cardiovascular training, as well as developing muscles in different parts of the body with variations in technique.
Workout Variations
While a Stair Machine workout is pretty straightforward (being one of its main appeals), there are some variations you can try to target different areas. The first of these is the Farmer’s Walk, which involves carrying additional free weights on the either side, such as dumbbells or weight plates, transforming your exercise to work almost the entire body. A Farmer’s Walk is great for challenging your core and balance, improving your stability while increasing strength. Lunges are also a great option, providing greater strength work for the glutes. You can also try side strides, which involves turning to the side, and crossing your feet over one another.
Features

While being commercial grade machines, they’re also remarkably simple to operate, being suitable to any level of user. Each Stair Climber will feature a large a large console at the front with LCD display. From here, you can turn the machine off and on, adjust speed (steps per minute), explore preset controls, and see workout data such your pulse, workout duration and calories burned. There’s also an integrated iPad/Tablet holder that you can use to keep entertained throughout your workout.
Our commercial grade machines are built with high quality steel and are made to endure tough workouts. The step range on our machines is 24 to 164 steps a minute, meaning just about anyone can hop on and complete an exercise at their level. There are also large padded hand rails on either side for your convenience. At the bottom of the machine, you’ll find a handy step on each side to get up onto the main steps. Make sure to use the large hand rails on each side to get up on the machine safely. Once the Stair Climber is running, you can continue to use the hand rails to support yourself as you run or walk, or support yourself with free hands.
Conclusion

Stair Climber machines offer a whole new level of cardio training, offering a hybrid workout that improves your cardiovascular endurance, while building muscle and functional strength in the lower body and core. Having one of these machines at home is a great way to level up your personal fitness and see impressive results throughout your fitness journey.
