Upright Exercise Bikes FAQ
An upright exercise bike is a cycling cardio machine that places you in an upright position, placing less strain on the back. It's great for people who want to build their cardiovascular health but may have back or neck problems.
While standing up can be a common feature of spin bike workouts, it's not generally possible on most upright exercise bikes.
Upright exercise bikes usually don't take up a lot of space, especially if you get a foldable or under-desk model. Always check the product dimensions to make sure it suits your space.
This will vary between models and can be anywhere from 6 to 32 levels. Air bikes have a more complex system of dynamic resistance wherein the more effort you put in the more resistance you get out, hypothetically creating limitless resistance levels.
This will also vary between models, but most upright exercise bikes are self-powered for added convenience. Always check the product specifications if you're after a self-powered model.
