About Our Olympic Gym Bars & Barbells

Needle bearings create a smooth rotation, reducing friction during Olympic lifts, while the precise knurling offers an optimal balance of firm grip without abrasiveness, with added centre knurling for enhanced grip during squats. Every barbell undergoes rigorous quality testing to ensure flawless assembly, guaranteeing reliability and longevity
Olympic Barbells FAQ
Olympic barbells are designed for competition weightlifting, built for Olympic specifications with a standard 7ft sizing, 28mm grip and a 50mm diameter sleeve.
In the Olympic range is the Athena, Spartan and Zeus. These cater to differences heights and needs. See the comparison chart on each product page to understand the differences.
Our women's Olympic barbell option is the Athena, which is a 200cm, 15kg bar designed with carbon steel and a chrome finish.
Some of our bars will use bushings, but most of the range will have needle bearings. The main difference is that bushings are better for a slower, more controlled spin which is great for powerlifting. Needle bearings are better for faster, more explosive lifting.
Most bars will have collars included to secure your weight plates. We also have a selection of different collars you can purchase separately.
