The perfect option for your home gym equipment, our equipment and exercise matting in suitable for a variety of fitness machines and surfaces including wooden floorboards and carpet. All floor tiles are built to last with high density rubber, and to minimise issues such as carpet pressure marks, tile cracks, floorboard scratches and reduce noise & vibration.
About Our Gym Flooring Mats
Our high-quality gym mats are designed to handle a high level of impact, protecting your floor and managing vibration. Commercial grade mats are made with 100% recycled, high-density rubber, and have been fire tested against SGS fire ratings. This creates advanced protection from combustion and dangerous smoke emissions when the mat is exposed to an extreme heat source. The mats will typically come with a bevelled edge for a cleaner finish, however we also stock mats with interlocking edges that connect mats together. We have a variety of thickness options depending on your purposes, ranging from 4mm thick equipment mats, up to 50mm powerlifting mats. The thicker densities will not only be able to handle more intense exercise, but can take on a greater amount of weight, with our thickest mats being designed for weight drops during powerlifting. On top of this, we have numerous accessories to go along with your flooring, such as wall mounts to hang your mats, or edge ramps to complete your set.
Gym Flooring FAQ
Gym floor mats are rubber tiles that provide support, cushioning and noise reduction for your workout area. They're an important tool for your workout as they help to keep you safe, protect your equipment, minimise vibration and keeps noise under control.
This will depend on the activity. For a stationary cardio machine like a treadmill or spin bike will work fine. For some higher impact workouts involving jumping, you'll want to move up to 10-15 mm. For weightlifting setups, plyometric workouts or commercial spaces, consider a 50mm mat for the best workout experience.
Interlocking mats allow you to connect mats together to create secure, continuous flooring across a wider surface. Bevelled edge mats create a cleaner finish.
For a stationary cardio machine, we recommend a 4mm equipment mat in either a 1.5m or 2m length.
Once you've got your gym mat, all you need to do is place it on the floor or under your machine and you're good to go. Check that it's steady on your floor and that it provides adequate support for whatever exercise you're doing. Make sure it doesn't shift in place or cause any vibration.
