Home Treadmills FAQ
There are a few things to consider when choosing the right home treadmill for you. First, think about how much you have available/are willing to give up for your treadmill. Also consider whether you need extra supports such as handrails or safety straps. Next, consider what features you want: incline, performance tracking, preset fitness programs, entertainment options, higher speeds etc. Then all you have to do is find a treadmill that matches your needs and space.
While some home treadmills come with advanced features such as incline, smart technology and higher speeds, all treadmills are adaptable to beginner levels. In fact, getting yourself a more advanced treadmill is a good way to give yourself room to grow as you improve.
We have a dedicated range of rehabilitation treadmills that are perfect both for seniors and trainers who are recovering from an injury. They include features like extended handrails, safety straps, emergency stops and much lower speeds than an average treadmill.
This will vary between models. Look for treadmills that specify incline if that's what you need. While generally not consider a "home treadmill," our range of FreeRun curved treadmills are completely manual and don't require connection to a power source. Other than that, most treadmills are automatic.
First, make sure the lowest speed is achievable and easy for you. Our rehab treadmills go as low as 0.3km/h. Then, it's advisable to look for a treadmill has a wide speed range so you have room to grow and can also perform HIIT or interval workouts.
